Welcome to The Charming Chickpea!

This is the blog for you if you are a newfound vegan, longtime vegan, or if you just want to incorporate some delicious and healthy meals into your life. I went vegan in 2017 and it’s been a big lifestyle change. I want to find a community that can help us on this journey to our best health, and I can pass on the wealth of information found in this community. Creating and finding recipes and sharing them with others is one of my passions, and this way of eating has given me so many positive aspects in my life that I want to share those with others as well. I feel like I’m doing everything in my power to help my body, my family, the environment, and animals and spreading that joy is fulfilling. I wanted to take some of the creativity found in teaching and bring it home and I’ve found that in cooking. I hope you enjoy a glimpse into my kitchen and life as a 2nd grade teacher, wife, and dog mom!
